A TRAX train passes the scene of an accident Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 1700 South St. in Salt Lake City. A westbound van reportedly broke through the guard arm at the crossing, which was down, and was struck on the driver's side by a northbound train, spinning the car around and knocking down the gate mechanism. Two people in the van, a father and daughter, where taken to the hospital.
