Mountain Meadows Massacre commemoration THUMBNAIL VIEW PREVIOUS PHOTO NEXT PHOTO
Barbara Jones Brown, left, gives Ellie Porter of California a hug after Porter started to cry when she saw a quilt being made in remembrance of the victims of the Mountain Meadows Massacre and their families. Porter is related to the Fancher family who were killed in the massacre. Relatives of the victims were getting a look at the new LDS Church History Library in Salt Lake City on Friday, May 29, 2009. Brown and Anna Rolapp, from California, came up with the idea of a remembrance quilt and several surviving members of victims' families made individual panels for the quilt.
