Francisco Kjolseth
Photographer
Francisco Kjolseth, is a native Coloradan with a screwy name because of his Mexican roots and Norwegian ancestry. His photographic passion developed while his father tortured the family with constant photo documentation of the family's travels and activities (which continues to this day). An avid award and outdoor gear collector, he has won numerous photojournalism awards in the Atlanta Seminar, Southern Short Course and Pictures of the Year as well as acclaim from the National Press Photographers Association, the Society of News Design, and a Pulitzer Prize Nomination. Previous stints have taken place at the Boulder Daily Camera, Ann Arbor News, Detroit Free Press and Charlotte Observer. When he is not amusing himself distorting reality through photo illustration, and subjecting those around him to similar family documentary practices, you can find him outdoors, rationalizing for more gear. |
