Oil leak in Salt Lake City

Oily ducks and geese walk the shore of Liberty Park pond. A Chevron pipeline leak early Saturday morning flowed into Red Butte Creek, leading to the closure of Liberty Park. Contaminants were spotted as far way as the Jordan River in what officials are calling a "major" spill. The source of the leak is near the greenhouses of Red Butte Gardens, but below the actual garden property.
