Fred Ross, of the Salt Lake City Police Department, addresses the crowd and tells them police are on the scene to keep the peace during a protest Sunday to show opposition to recent actions of LDS Church security personnel who detained a gay couple on Main Street Plaza, adjacent to Temple Square and LDS Church headquarters. The police were called by Church security after a number of demonstrators marched across the plaza.
