"He was always looking out for others. He'd pile needy men into the back of his pickup and take them to McDonald's where he'd buy food for them." — Jackie Livaudais, wife Livaudais, 23, of Syracuse, was killed along with two other Army Rangers when a car bomb exploded at a checkpoint he was manning. The Army staff sergeant was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, in Fort Benning, Ga.
