"He was always looking out for others. He'd pile needy men into the back of his pickup and take them to McDonald's where he'd buy food for them." Jackie Livaudais, wife Livaudais, 23, of Syracuse, was killed along with two other Army Rangers when a car bomb exploded at a checkpoint he was manning. The Army staff sergeant was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, in Fort Benning, Ga.
