Return to the list
"He wasn’t excited about going there — nobody is... but the biggest thing about Doug is that he had been responsible, before he went, for helping get other people deployed over there and he walked the talk." — Rick Edginton, friend Stone, 49, of Taylorsville, was killed in a "non-combat incident," according to Army officials. Further details about his death have not been made available. The Army sergeant first class was assigned to the 96th Regional Readiness Command.
