Funeral services for Army Staff Sgt. Gregson Gourley of Midvale will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Union Fort Stake Center, 540 E. 7200 South. Gourley was killed Wednesday along with three other U.S. soldiers when the Humvee they were patrolling in hit a road-side bomb near Hawijah, Iraq, about 150 miles north of Baghdad.

Army surgeon Eric Gourley will accompany his brother's remains from Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to Utah on Tuesday.

Gregson Gourley was the 25th soldier with Utah ties killed since the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan began. He was a meritorious service winner, a squad leader and weapons specialist with the 101st Airborne Division, based in Kentucky.

He was four weeks into his second tour of duty when he died.
